TeamFINNEGANS is a group of fun, like-minded, socially conscious individuals who volunteer for FINNEGANS Community Fund. With FINNEGANS SBC being the first beer in the world to donate 100% of its profits back to the community, we rely on the kindness and generosity of human beings like yourself to keep the good going. If you’re a barstool philanthropist, passionate about building strong communities, believe that doing good and having fun go hand-in-hand and love meeting like-minded people join the TeamFINNEGANS brigade on our mission to alleviate hunger.
To date, FINNEGANS has given back over one million in total impact back to the community. One of the major factors in that is our TeamFINNEGANS volunteers. Volunteers we provide for Community Action Night (C.A.N.) events and Reverse Food Truck events directly help food shelves. When we provide volunteers for major beer festivals, the event organizers donate to the FINNEGANS Community Fund for our volunteer efforts. All donations raised for the the FINNEGANS Community Fund go to purchase local produce from local CSA farms to local food shelves.

Community Action Nights (C.A.N.):
C.A.N. events are volunteer opportunities at our partner food shelves and farms. These typically happen once a month. You can see all upcoming C.A.N. events and sign up on our Eventbrite page. We always like to follow up our C.A.N. events with a happy hour at a close FINNEGANS serving establishment. What can we say, the doing-good doesn’t stop.
Reverse Food Truck:
The FINNEGANS Reverse Food Truck (RFT) was the first of its kind. It’s a food drive in the most literal sense. You can sign up to volunteer with the truck by driving it or working it (both don’t require a special license) or you can look into hosting the truck at your event. The RFT has been in commission for 4 years now and have raised over 130,000 $/lbs.! With the increased amount of events, we are looking for more volunteers that are willing to be a part of this 20-ton idea.
This doesn’t require any signing up or extra trainings- just ask for FINNEGANS first whenever you are out and about. Doesn’t matter if you know that that particular establishment doesn’t have FINNEGANS on tap, asking for it creates the demand. At an establishment that already carries FINNEGANS? Fantastic- be sure to thank your server/bartender/manager/anyone who will listen for carrying FINNEGANS. If we could be everywhere we would but we know that could possibly lead to a drinking problem so we’d appreciate if you could extend our thanks whenever you’re out and about.

“I love volunteering for FINNEGANS. It’s a great way to meet new friends, be involved in local events and most importantly, help out a good cause. It feels great knowing that my FINNGEANS volunteering helps alleviate hunger through local food shelves. An occasional pint isn’t bad either.”
Volunteer for 4+ years

“I have been volunteering for FINNEGANS so long that my TEAM FINNEGANS T-shirt is wearing out. I volunteer for FINNEGANS because I support social entrepreneurship; I like the idea of sharing good things with others. I also like the flexibility the FINNEGANS volunteer program offers. I can choose activities I am interested from a variety of things to do at times that work for me. Volunteering for FINNEGANS I have met a lot of interesting people and I have had a ton of fun. Join me as a FINNEGANS volunteer!”

“As a FINNEGANS volunteer, I have become a miracle worker – I help turn beer into food! I have volunteered for FINNEGANS for about four years. In that time I have: – Poured beer samples and told the FINNEGANS story in venues ranging from my local liquor store to Target Field, the Irish Fair to the Lowertown Beer Dabbler (in below zero temperatures) – Marched with the FINNEGANS Reverse Food Truck (RFT) in the Grand Old Days and St. Patrick’s Day parades – Sorted food at a local food shelf – Helped celebrate the introduction of two delicious FINNEGANS beers You can do all this and, in addition, meet interesting people of all ages, and taste more kinds of beer than you knew existed. Sign up now to help turn beer into food as a FINNEGANS volunteer.”
Do you get to drink during volunteer shifts?
Depends, but if it’s an event where you can’t, you do get to enjoy the event after your shift.
Can you sign up with friends?
My friend will be turning 21 in a week and a half after the event, can you make an exception?
No, all our volunteers must be 21.
