How do you name a beer and not offend someone? How do you praise the art department over and over again for making amazing label designs? I think you make a beer that exceeds expectations in deliciousness, and you can possibly be on the same page as the other do-gooders. October, the month to give all of our thirsty followers some old, but new brews too.
It is Fan Pack season after all!! The beer has been brewed, the packs have been assembled and shipped out, and they should be hitting retailer shelves sooner rather than later. Crockpots have been dusted off and have been set to make delicious stews and pot roasts in our homes. Stick to your ribs meals are aplenty. So hell, let’s drink stouts and porters.
Barrel aged beers that have slumbered in their oak vats for months have come to fruition and I’m excited about all of it. The fall harvest is upon us, and all the vines and plants are dying in our yards. Other than those darn squashes! I’m lost, hungry and out to hopefully grasp your taste buds and bring you back again and again for pints, growlers and 750’s. Sit for a spell, there’s beer to be spoken about. Old favorites and once a year offerings are aplenty. If you have been paying attention to social media and or the names on the barrels at the taproom, you know what’s coming. Let’s dive!
Punk Arse 5.5% ABV 22 IBU Coffee Porter
Wild Flyer Coffee. Porter base beer. Add 77.5 gallons of cold press. Carbonate. Coffee to empower youth. Beer to feed the hungry. Wait for it…… Win, Win! This smooth and coffee forward porter was brewed for breakfast, an afternoon pick me up, an evening before or after dinner drink. You get my point, anytime and anywhere. Brewed with a large dose of brown(coffee) malt and chocolate malt this porter will be a staple at my house and hopefully yours this fall. Oh yeah, it’s now available in our 12-pack Fan Pack available October 1st. It’s got some friends you might want to get to know as well. Bunny Run Red Ale, Huell Melon Helles, and Dead Irish Poet. A perfect selection to enjoy all fall.
My Little Rose 7.7% ABV Apple Whiskey Barrel Aged Saison
The little lady is coming back. This year aged for an extra month and a half , and packing her same punch as the previous year. Hints of funk, apples, spice, oak and love. This year it was brewed with rose hips, hibiscus flowers, and sweet orange peel. The aroma is enchanting. The beer delicious. It will be available on October 12th at our Fall Harvest Fest at the tap room. I asked my little Rose if she was okay that it wasn’t going to be released on her birthday and all she said was “yeah dad, that’s cool.” Poetry if you ask me. She will be 7 on Oct. 21st.
Another month, another season has shown itself. Keep up the good work, we are counting on you!
