TITLE:

Volunteer Engagement & Reverse Food Truck Events Lead

 

DURATION:

4 month Volunteer Internship, with option to extend to 8 months.

 

DESCRIPTION:

FINNEGANS, an innovative social enterprise, is looking for a high energy, socially minded self-starter, who is goal oriented to join our Team!  Be a part of Social Enterprise in action and leave your mark on the company and community.  Build your portfolio along the way. Experience innovation in the making to address a social issue:  participate and observe how this process works.

FINNEGANS was the first beer in the world to donate 100 percent of its profits to feeding the hungry and is the 2nd longest running enterprise of this structure next to Newman’s Own in the country.  FINNEGANS’ mission is turning beer into food.  We focus on funding fresh local produce for those in need.  FINNEGANS has plans to create further impact not only MN but WI, ND, SD and IA.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

21 years of age or older• Reliable computer and internet access• Access to a car, valid drivers license• Must be motivated and comfortable taking initiative• Able to work independently and to seek consultation when needed• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities, problem-solving, time-management and organizational skills• Dependable, professional and responsible• Passion for giving back to the local community and socially responsible companies

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with FINNEGANS team, events partners and volunteers to reach donation goals, through the below deliverables, innovative improvements, and strategic decisions.

Reverse Food Truck (RFT) Coordination:  Expand upon your already great organizational & communications skills:

Maintain events calendar & compile pertinent promotional info (learn WordPress, Salesforce, Eventbrite).

Communicate with RFT Event Partners on event set up, logistics.

Recruit event volunteers and coordinate logistics and materials.

Support recruiting and awareness of FINNEGANS and partners events

Recruit and Engage Volunteers in TeamFINNEGANS

Gain experience recruiting volunteers

Engage volunteers once signed on and support their involvement

Communicate sampling and events logistics and prep to participating volunteers

Lead volunteer appreciation efforts

Learn Key Metrics & support innovation to improve these

Work with Marketing Volunteer & Event Manager to prepare analytics reports

Collaborate with team to generate new ideas, pin point what works and what doesn’t work

Attend one volunteer event

1 Sampling monthly

2 Staff Trainings Monthly

In-office Event & Promo prep

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Sheet Layout

Support on creating simple and effective sell sheets for upcoming campaigns.

Graphics Files Maintenance

Download site quarterly review and ongoing maintenance

Impact Communications

Review and critique current impact communications (web, print, etc)

Distribution and Donation Map- Update as new distributors and farm/food shelves come on board.

Partner Appreciation Efforts

Retail account onboarding and outreach support FCF Supporter (donor base) appreciation & Thank-you’s

Other projects and duties as needed

Various social entre and small business support as needed
