FINNOVATION Lab Fellowship Manager

The Fellowship Manager will be primarily responsible for the following areas:

Fellowship Program Management (up to 70% of time ongoing)

  • Manage schedule for all trainers and curricula partners, ensuring learning objective timelines are met
  • Develop relationships with training partners in order to ensure content delivery is appropriate for Fellow stage and need
  • Manage all payments to training partners and curriculum development partners
  • Manage all events related to mentorship, including mentor-only events
  • Support the administration of the search and selection process for new cohort members, both in the Fellowship and Accelerator programs
  • Manage logistics for any cohort-wide events, which includes sourcing speakers and educators for one-time events

Portfolio Management (up to 20% of time ongoing)

  • Manage data collection from Fellows’ quantitative and qualitative reporting; brainstorm ideas for demonstrating portfolio wide impact
  • Provide portfolio management support for Fellows, including weekly check-in meetings and resource support alongside instructors and mentors
  • Identify Mentor- Fellow pairing and support success of coaching relationship by liaising with Mentors at least quarterly

Year 2: Fellowship Program Recruitment & Design

  • Lead execution of outreach with recruitment partners, including universities and community organizations
  • Develop cultivation strategy for applicants, especially with non-traditional and minority communities
  • Lead two stage selection process for Fellowship program, including a selection day event with external judges
  • Refine selection criteria, with focus on cultivating non-traditional applicants
  • Identify and secure external presenters / experts as needed
  • Facilitate selected curricula sessions as needed
  • Lead identification, procurement and development of Fellowship curriculum anchored by focus on leadership development, systems change, and customer-centric business model design, drawing on existing materials in the ecosystem as appropriate
  • Identify and develop relationships with decision makers at major corporations and universities, and cultivate interest in working with Impact Hub / FINNovation Lab to enhance social entrepreneurship offerings; develop related service strategies.

Qualifications: 

  • First-hand experience with early-stage entrepreneurial challenges, ideally as a successful social entrepreneur or angel investor or through close work with a portfolio of entrepreneurs
  • Familiarity with leadership development, systems change, and customer-centric design
  • Familiarity with the key aspects of successful business development, including business planning, pitching and financing
  • Comfort operating in an entrepreneurial, resource-limited environment
  • Strong team orientation, ability to provide and accept feedback and ability to work effectively in collaboration with a diverse group of people
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent oral presentation and written communication skills
  • Results driven and action oriented – excellent time and project management skills
  • Experience presenting publically and facilitating conversations, especially those that challenge participants to reflect and grow with a bias for action
