As the month of February begins, old favorites are starting to pop back up on tap. We have been hard at work keeping up with demand from our markets. Brewing batch after batch of classic Irish Amber. The tanks have been full since the production transition to solely Minneapolis. If you have been to the taproom recently, you may have noticed the brewers working later than normal and a canning line is humming one to two days a week. This is all in order to keep your fridges stocked and the tap lines flowing with beer at your favorite watering holes.

Most of the time, it’s hard not to get excited about the beers we brew. To sum up our excitement this month, it really comes down to two beers. You may know them, you may love them, well here is what they are:

Cosmic Snowball      SMASH IPA 6.8%

S.M.A.S.H stands for single malt and single hop. Simple to write a recipe, and simple for us to pick a hop. Comet is the shining star in this one. (Get it?) Its grapefruit juice and pith qualities make it a perfect hop to blend with a Pale malt and it’s semi sweet/ nuttiness qualities. This gem will be available in our IPA sampler and on its own as a 6 pack. This 6 pack will only be available at Total Wine & More for the month of February. It has already shipped out, and will hit the shelves as early as February 1st. Cosmic will be going on tap Monday, February 3rd at the FINNEGANS House. Quantities are limited, and it may go fast!

Golden Halo     Belgian Triple  8.6%

This golden hued beauty is brewed with a clove and slight bubblegum character yeast with some classic German and Czech noble hops. Dry and surprisingly bold. Triples were originally brewed by the Trappist Monks of Belgium as a celebratory ale to end there month long fast of well….drinking beer. Not sure if that would be the life, but if you didn’t know, I love Belgian ales.

As March 17th approaches, we will be busy making sure your pints stay full, and you can celebrate any way you would like. By the time you read this It might only be 42 days away. Let’s keep the pints flowing and let’s also celebrate FINNEGANS 20th anniversary over this year of 2020. We will keep brewing the beer, we just ask you to drink it responsibly.
