I’m uncertain if I am writing about beer or just the way the sun plays tricks on us during this month. I’m seeing the months of darkness creep upon us. So, in order to lift our spirits and pints, let’s give to those of us less fortunate, let’s spend time with our loved ones, and let’s hope for the Packers to crumble. The fall harvest has finally come to fruition, and we can reap its benefits through its earthly delights. Tanks and kegs have been filled. We have prepared, and are ready for you to enjoy the next few months of cold and beers aplenty.
Our production facility in Minneapolis is getting a face lift. Larger tanks have been arriving this week, and all of our production will be completed in our downtown location. A canning line will be arriving sooner than later, and it will be more than just Logan and me bringing you all these beers. 2020 production has been hashed out and many a new brews will be gracing the coolers, taps and shelves of liquor stores and bars, as well as right here at the FINNEGANS House. We are excited to extend the joy Logan and I have been feeling with this move as we can take more of our taproom creations and put them in different vessels in order for you to enjoy.
As the holidays approach we are bringing back a few old favorites to warm your pallets and bellies. Biere de Noel will grace our tap lines starting December 7th at our Festival of Lights celebration. Lager season is finally coming to an end as Buck O Five is close to its final keg, and Oktoberfest has started it’s slumber until September 1st of 2020. Let’s talk about the new beer we have lined up for this blustery winter ahead.
Tulip Poplar 7.5% Abv
This is what a barrel aging program is supposed to be about. Take four different barrels, three different beers and see what they all could taste like blended together. Hence this mahogany colored barrel aged beer. Notes of vanillan, funk, and a warming sensation from the bourbon and whiskey barrels make this a smooth addition to our evolving series. This will be our last very small batch as our tanks are growing in size and the beers will have to become larger in scale. All aged in American Oak barrels from twelve months to 8 months, the blend is spectacular and really, really delicious. This will become available during Dark Week 2020.
We the brewers are saving more for you come January, as Dark Week is back. Six beers, six nights. Mark your calendars for January 13-18th, with a VIP party on January 16th in the Brewers Den! The beers will be aplenty and their shade a bit darker than usual. Come one, come all, and spend the holidays with us. The beer will be flowing and the company is the best in town.
