Many of us are doing our best to keep our chins up while seeking positivity and hope in our newly reconstructed lives. At FINNEGANS, we are finding a variety of ways to find inspiration. Sometimes it is the seemingly small things such as the smiles and camaraderie of our regular customers enjoying an ice cold brew out on the patio. We also have our spirits lifted when we release one of Head Brewer, Ryan Mihm’s new beer creations. Several are hitting the tap lines in the taproom, while others will be hitting store shelves. Meadow of the Gods is one of the new Barrel Aged Beers we are exciting to tell you about. A Nordic Farmhouse Ale aged in oak barrels, this epic beer takes its name from an interpretation of Oslo translated to English. Brewed with multiple strains of wild yeast and lactobacillus, then aged in oak barrels for 8 months to maturate and sour. Strikingly delicious and refreshing. The new Fan Pack with flavors preparing us for fall is also launching and can be found on store shelves any day now. These little things are truly what keep up moving forward here at FINNEGANS.
It is also very uplifting to see folks bring in food donations for our on-going food drive in the taproom. Nearly 300 bags of food and supplies have been collected, and it isn’t slowing down. Focusing on our impact mission has been a great way to give back and engage with individuals in our own community.
I am also over the moon to share all of the important work being done at the FINNOVATION Lab. August 4th marked the kickoff of ImpactSKU Preview, Minnesota’s first purpose-driven consumer products accelerator. Although the program has been revamped due to COVID19, we pivoted and are helping 10 purpose driven companies navigate these uncertain times. To read more about ImpactSKU Preview and FINNOVATION Lab, check out this link. FINNOVATION Lab will also be announcing their next cohort of 9 fellows in the coming weeks. These individuals have been selected for the nine-month immersive experience that develops leadership capacity and builds entrepreneurial skills in early stage founders. I can’t wait to see the topics and issues they tackle this next year. Stay tuned to social media to see who has been selected.
We are so grateful to all of you who have been such amazing supporters through the thick and the thin, all while continuing to support our taproom and our beer in the market. Please know that we are committed to continuing to make awesome beer and supporting our community.
Big virtual hugs to all,
