If you’re looking for more ways to enhance the do-good effects of drinking FINNEGANS this summer, look no further. The Green Mill is joining our cause with their Green Mill for Good program. They were looking for a way to directly benefit the communities their restaurants are located in, and the FINNEGANS Community Fund model was a perfect fit – not only because of the money we donate to our immediate community, but also because FINNEGANS beer and Green Mill pizza just happen to complement each other pretty well.

Here’s the basic rundown of how The Green Mill is donating to the FINNEGANS Community Fund:

  • On Mondays and Tuesdays, they’ll donate $1.00 for every large pizza sold to the FINNEGANS Community Fund.
  • FINNEGANS and The Green Mill are hosting beer dinners once per quarter at each restaurant, with $5.00 of the proceeds from each meal donated.

In case you don’t know how the FINNEGANS community fund works, here’s a quick summary: The FINNEGANS Community Fund works by supporting local farmers and getting their fresh produce into local food shelves. Since foods shelves are stocked mainly by donations of excess food from large grocery suppliers, fresh fruit and vegetables are always in short supply. By working with local farmers, we are supporting small business owners and getting fresh, healthy produce on tables that would otherwise be empty.

So far Green Mill for Good has raised over $9,000 for the FINNEGANS Community fund. The goal for the year is $35,000. You can check on the progress on the front page of greenmill.com.

Stay tuned for more information on upcoming beer dinners.

Here’s to doing good.
