“It was the first time it truly clicked for me that business is not all about making money.”

Daniel Hallman is a senior at the University of St. Thomas working towards a degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. He is currently a fall semester Promotions Intern for us, where he works with the sales team implementing and organizing bar and retail promotions. He is from River Falls Wisconsin and plays Rugby for the Blue Ox Rugby Club.

Recently, Daniel was working one of our bingo events at Green Mill. In his weekly report, he wrote this. We’re calling it his “FINNEGANS ah-ha moment”.
Enjoy!

I was so accustomed to looking at business and seeing it as one big competition. When I owned my company it was all about making money, not that it wasn’t for a good cause (my college education). But the mental attitude behind both of these situations is just so different. And personally I think last night at bingo was the first time it truly clicked for me that business is not all about making money. Of course making a profit is important, but it is not the only thing in the company. I think that this added perspective this week will definitely benefit me further down the road and also for the duration of my time here at FINNEGANS this semester. –Daniel Hallman

Cheers!
